Hey and thanks so much for visiting my blog! My name is Meghan and I’m a 27 year old Florida native. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since December 2016 and we have 2 cats with a lot of personality (follow my instagram stories and you will see way too much about them).
I am an elementary school teacher and I am going into my 5th year of teacher 3rd graders. I absolutely love my job! It’s not a job that I ever thought that I would have, but it turned out to be so perfect for me. My husband and I lead worship at our church (the same church that I have attended since I was born). We also lead the youth group. We write music occasionally, but we hope to write much more in the future.
On July 4, 2019 at 4:17pm, I gave birth to the most beautiful little boy in the world named Levi Harrison Barron. He was only here for a couple hours, but thankfully we got to hold and love our little boy in the short time he was here. Being pregnant and giving birth to him was a life changing time for my husband and I. We have learned and still have so much to learn from this experience. Despite the outcome not being what we had prayed for, God felt so present through the entire experience.
From the time I started this blog in 2016, I have leaned on Proverbs 3:5-6:
Trust in the with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
This verse has become more challenging than it has ever been. It has also become more important than it’s ever been.
There are still so many unknowns, questions and things that make no sense to me. This verse encourages me to know that it doesn’t matter if I understand. If I trust in Him and lean on Him, then we will direct my paths. Even if those paths are not the ones I want to follow or expect to follow, they are still the right ones for my life. This doesn’t make everything easy, but it makes everything worth it.
I hope when you come here, you find encouragement as I share my heart and what God is teaching me. I have so much to learn from Him.
